Frequently asked questions

Can you reproduce my exact BOQ format?

Yes. Send us a sample of your current format and we calibrate the pipeline to match it — your column structure, your cost codes, your roll-up methodology, your prelim conventions.

Where do the rates come from?

Current AU residential supplier landscape — sourced from real quotes, refreshed quarterly. For named-customer engagements, your own supplier corpus can be loaded as the canonical rate set for every job we run for you.

Is the BOQ priced ex-GST or inc-GST?

Ex-GST throughout, with GST applied at the contract roll-up stage. Standard AU residential tendering convention.

What about provisional sums and prime cost items?

Each line carries a status flag — "PS", "PC Sum", "Estimation only", "Priced/fixed". You can see at a glance what is commitment-grade vs what still needs final selection.

Can I change rates after I receive it?

Yes — it is an editable Excel workbook. Every cell is unlocked. Override any rate, add any line, swap any supplier.

How does this compare to a traditional QS pricing exercise?

Same structural output as a senior QS firm would produce, returned in hours instead of weeks, at a fraction of the cost. The trade-off: this is a digital estimating service, not a licensed QS opinion.
